Mascot 1110 August 11, 1988 / Danish shipyard / Design Palle Mortensen / Spanish flag / Taxes paid / List 7 - No charter. Classic sailboat from a Danish shipyard, robustly built, with a thick laminated fiberglass hull. It is a very solid, spacious, and especially comfortable boat for coastal navigation, crossings, and extended stays on board, with an approximate interior height of 2 meters and an unusual volume for its length. Although the boat has a real length close to 11 meters, it is documented as 9.90 m, which may be interesting for mooring cost purposes. Spanish flag, List 7, with capacity for 10 people in Zone B —60 miles—, currently dispatched in Zone 4 —12 miles—. One of its most distinctive features is its double steering position: it can be steered from the cockpit using a tiller or from the interior, seated and protected from the sun, cold, or bad weather, using a steering wheel. It also has dual engine controls, both interior and exterior, which greatly facilitates navigation and maneuvers in different conditions. The cockpit is one of the strong points of the boat: very spacious, deep, and comfortable, with benches about 2 meters long, capacity for several people sitting comfortably, a large folding table at the stern, cushions, bimini, and four large storage lockers. At the stern, it has a bathing platform with a ladder, an outdoor shower, and davits for a dinghy of up to about 3 meters, although a dinghy and outboard motor are not included. Rigged as a sloop, with a mainsail with slides, two reefs, and a genoa with a Facnor furler. It also has a spinnaker pole, useful for both spinnaker and for winging out the genoa on downwind courses. The running rigging —halyards and sheets— was renewed in 2024, and the standing rigging was inspected in 2024. It has self-tailing winches and various stoppers. On deck, it has an anchor windlass. The anchor chain was replaced in the summer of 2024 with a new 50-meter chain. It includes 8 fenders. The interior offers a classic, spacious, and very usable layout. In the bow, it has an independent cabin for two people, with a door and wardrobes. Following that, a very spacious and bright salon, with a U-shaped sofa to starboard that converts into a double bed and a linear sofa to port that converts into a single bed. It has wardrobes on both sides and a wet locker in front of the bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with an oven and gas stove, sink, and minibar/Engel refrigerator. The gas installation has been changed. The bathroom is independent and spacious, with a marine toilet, sink, and shower. The interior helm has good visibility and a skylight for natural ventilation. The boat incorporates Wallas Marin diesel heating with air ducts distributed throughout the interior, Glomex TV antenna, 220 V installation, Victron Energy 12/25 battery charger, bilge pump, and a complete set of electronics for navigation. Powered by a Volvo Penta 2003 Turbo diesel, inboard, of approximately 45 HP and about 1,000 hours of use according to the owner. Inspection carried out in 2024, with oil and diesel filters changed, sacrificial anodes replaced, propeller and horn changed in the summer of 2024, and alternator belt replaced in 2022. Diesel tank of 250 liters. Continuous anti-algae treatment is performed on the fuel. Spare parts included: autopilot belt, alternator belt, diesel filter, and saltwater pump impeller. Notable maintenance: replacement of through-hull fittings and seacocks in 2022, replacement of propeller and horn in the summer of 2024, haul-outs in 2022 and 2024 with antifouling, scraping of the hull and treatment of the underwater parts. No known osmosis according to the owner. Interior woods waxed in 2025. 220 V lines inspected and renewed in 2024. Engine bilge pump replaced in 2024. The navigation permit is valid until 08/11/2029.
