Owners Comments and Boat History Champagne, a striking catamaran designed by the renowned Bill Dixon, began construction at the Prout facility in Thailand. Following the closure of Prout before the yacht's completion, the project was acquired and professionally completed by Ettore, who oversaw the final fit-out and commissioning. Champagne was launched and first registered in 2015 by her original and only owner. Since her launch, Champagne has circumnavigated nearly the entire globe, proving herself as a capable, comfortable, and exceptionally seaworthy bluewater cruising catamaran. She is currently cruising the Caribbean. The owner is meticulous when it comes to maintenance, and Champagne reflects that philosophy. She has been cared for to an exceptionally high standard, with every system maintained in excellent working order before each passage. A passionate sailor, the owner prefers to rely on wind power whenever possible. Champagne is equipped with an impressive inventory of seven sails, allowing her to perform efficiently across a wide range of conditions. When required, the twin Steyr Marine 150HP diesel engines, professionally installed during the completion of the yacht and currently showing approximately 2,900 hours, provide reliable and economical propulsion.
