Rafa is the very first Hunton RS43 to get a complete restoration with full upgrades of electronics, systems and additions to her original specification

Just take a look in detail at the full works schedule at the end of this text!!!

You will read how Rafa was completely stripped out, had a full metallic paint spray in charcoal grey (including under the waterline) before being reassembled with pretty much new everything from new outdrives to covers.

From what I read, even in 2024 still nothing can match the Hunton RS43 for luxury, handling, performance and economy. Yes economy!

The Hunton RS43 deep Vee hull gives you a fast, soft, shore footed ride and is capable of the tightest of turns even at high speed, all a legacy of her hull design developed by Jeff Hunton over years of Offshore Powerboat Racing.

Below the Hunton RS43 has four berths in two separate cabins, large saloon, heads and shower.

In the cockpit there is a large sun bed at the rear, spacious seating curving around the dining table and wet bar. There is a double helm seat with drop down bolsters and another sunbed to the left.

Rafa has been dry berthed and covered since her restoration and is presented as new, turn key ready to go for the summer.

All works carried out by JMP marine and engineers and project managers, together with Desty marine and other specialist sub contractors who are experienced in Hunton Boat construction ie Jon Elderfield

Hull and superstructure.

Removal of all stainless steel work, clean, refurbish and straighten any dents etc.
Remove original teak from cockpit and saloon
Sand and remove antifouling complete, repair any dents and scuffs.
Sand and Repaint Hull and Superstructure etc, including engine bay and locker compartment (with gel wash).
Refit stainless and re seal all.
Renew all teak throughout boat with new artificial teak.
Replace external window hatches in structure with new and seal same.
Replace windlass and fit additional length of stainless steel chain.

Equipment
Fit new bow and stern thruster to boat and ancillary controls
Replace all batteries both engine and domestic with new gel batteries and leads.
Replace battery charger
Service and overhaul panda generator.
Replace radar and plotter with new touch screen units.
Remove engines, strip and rebuild, fit new short engine to port side.

Engines have been chipped to increase horsepower to 390bhp each by JMP.

Strip and rebuild all superchargers and alternators

Remove and replace leg and drive units with new Volvo units.

Fit new stainless steel propellers

Service and refit engines and ancillaries etc.

Strip and overhaul trim tabs and controls
Replace all switchgear in cockpit with new, remake all wiring joints throughout boat and test and ensure all is working as it should

Fit new LCD TV in cockpit, and ensure Fusion stereo and speakers.

Replace all lighting with new LED lighting

Fit new underwater LED hull lighting to rear and sides of boat

Fit new venetian blinds to windows
Replace all upholstery within boat complete (incl beds, bench seating, headboards, hull coverings, headlining's, cockpit seating and sunbathing pads, using a mixture of Silvertex marine fabric internally and externally.
Replace carpets with new hand bound and edged stitched carpets to original templates.

Vinyl wrap all internal joinery, overhaul and leave in good working order, cabinetry locks and handles etc

Replace kitchen mixer tap, new WC and WHB tap in heads

Replace all bilge pumps and overhaul black water tank and pumps etc

Fit new external shower mixer tap to stern of boat, and also tap to external sink

Fit new tonneau cover
Fit new camper style cockpit cover
Fit new winter all over cover

Supply new black fenders and ropes

Overhaul and service life raft

Purchase and fit during winter dehumidifier.

New external metered electric shore power cable (compatible with MDL marinas)
4 keys for boat engines
(2 for each engine).
