Captains Notes Aroha was purchased by the current owner in 2020, since we have owned the yacht each year in the winter months, we have invested a large amount of work and funds into maintenance to better the yacht from when it was purchased. We have made significant upgrades to the exterior cushions, deck upholstery and layout, including new furniture, bar and seating arrangements. All new linen and soft furnishing have been fitted throughout the yacht. Mechanically we have overhauled the generators, completing the 10,000 hour service on these during the winter of 2023/2024. Overhauled the stabilisers, removed all the main valves and exhausts, spray rings etc. We have completed the book services to the MTU main engines. The hydraulic system has been overhauled and PTO’s and clutched have been serviced, and/or replaced where necessary. Regarding class surveys and maintenance, we have maintained the vessel to commercial class standards in accordance with RINA survey requirements. I have downgraded the statutory “Certificates of Compliance” to be “Statements of Compliance” meaning if a potential owner were to convert the yacht back to full commercial code, it would be a paper formality to complete this task as all maintenance is compliant with the current code.
