The perfect day cruiser packed with equipment. The Quicksilver 805 is a highly seaworthy day cruiser, offering plenty of space and exceptional utilization throughout. The hull features a relatively high freeboard, providing excellent space conditions down in the cabin and creating a sense of a larger boat when you're in the cockpit.
The cockpit includes a large seating area where the table can be lowered to create a spacious sunbed. The backrest can be reclined for easy access to the large swim platform, which naturally comes with a swim ladder. There’s also a shower for rinsing off saltwater after a refreshing dip. On the starboard side, you’ll find a nice little pantry setup with a refrigerator, pressurized water, and some storage space. Under the benches in the seating area, there’s ample room for gear.
At the front of the seating area/pantry, you’ll find on the port side a double bench facing forward with good storage underneath, and on the starboard side is the helm station, which is really well laid out. From here, you have an overview of the entire boat, and when standing at the helm, you truly have control over everything. The helm seat can be adjusted in height/forward/backward and can swivel around to become part of the seating area.
The instrumentation is lavish. There’s a 3-year-old 9-inch GARMIN chart plotter with sonar, a new GARMIN autopilot with a large display/control unit, a new GARMIN VHF with AIS, a new Fusion sound system, Mente Marine trim panel, compass, and engine instruments. The boat is equipped with new bow and stern thrusters that are operated via a dual joystick or remote control. The autopilot can also be controlled via the plotter, and engine data is displayed on it as well.
The entire boat features genuine teak throughout, which is well-maintained and beautiful. The canopy, which elegantly stows away under the aft bench or can remain on its brackets above, is from 2024. The sides have been modified so they can remain up during navigation without taking up the entire side.
Below deck, there’s a spacious cabin with plenty of natural light coming through hull windows and deck windows. Underneath the large double berth is ample storage for your luggage. There’s also a large opening hatch for ventilation. Below the cockpit is a cozy little cabin with a double bed and an opening window to the cockpit. On the port side, there’s a relatively large enclosed toilet room equipped with a chemical toilet, sink, and mirror.
The boat has always been covered by a harbor cover when not in use. In spring 2024, the bottom was scraped down completely and built up with primer and International Biofree; it’s smooth and fine now. The engine is an incredibly smooth and quiet Mercury Verado 6-cylinder 250 hp with 480 hours. It has received a new oil cooler and has been serviced every year with new filters, oils, and spark plugs. It easily propels the boat at 30 knots, and at cruising speed of 20 knots, fuel consumption is approximately 1.7 liters per nautical mile.
The boat is very well-maintained and well-equipped but does show some signs of use. It can be shown by appointment. More new photos will come when it’s out on display.
