There are Ferretti 550s, and then there is ALOHA. We know this yacht intimately: we sold her to her current owner a few years ago, and she has been cherished ever since. In that time she has seen remarkably little use, yet she has never wanted for care — professionally managed and maintained in Corfu, always ready, always turned out to an exacting standard. The result is a 550 that presents far beyond her years and hours.
A timeless Ferretti flybridge.
Designed by the renowned Zuccon International Project and built by Ferretti Yachts, the 550 is a study in restraint and proportion — a 17.37 m (57 ft) planing GRP flybridge with the sea-keeping and presence of a much larger yacht. Twin MAN D2848 LE423 V8 diesels of 900 hp each give her an easy 22-knot cruise and a top end around 34 knots, with a shaft drive and bow thruster for confident, relaxed handling. And with only about 680 hours on the clock, her machinery is barely run in.
Roughly €30,000 of recent care — and it's all done.
Over the past year ALOHA has been comprehensively refreshed so her next owner simply steps aboard and goes:
