In excellent condition, the Valkvlet 11.90 AK is available from its first owner! This was their second Valkvlet, so we can say this is a true fan and enthusiast of the Valkvlet. We understand that well. However, after 50 years of boating and especially enjoying their Valkvlets, the years do start to add up for the owners. Not for the Valkvlet, though; it will outlast us all! The owners have entrusted their beautiful "Barkarole" to us due to our experience with these vessels and our passion for Valkvlets. We are pleased to have it and will do our best to find a suitable new owner who will cherish "Barkarole" for many years to come.
Enough prose; let’s move on to some hard numbers and details. This Valkvlet 11.90 AK features a very nice layout with plenty of living space both inside and out. The spacious aft deck is perfect for enjoying nice weather, and when the weather is less favorable, you can comfortably steer from inside as well. The vessel boasts a generous aft cabin with a freestanding bed! This is rarely found in Valkvlets. At the front, there’s an extra spacious cabin with V-berths, also of a generous size. A very practical wet cell with shower space and the galley dominate the mid-fore section of the ship. The salon with helm station is equipped with two practical side sliding doors and access to the aft deck. It’s simply a delightful vessel.
The technical aspects are just as well-maintained as the rest of the ship, always cared for by the same technician who still services many Valkvlets today. Don’t expect modern navigation equipment or anything like that; in the owner’s words - 'Fehlanzeige'. In other words, it’s not there. Yes, there’s an autopilot and bow thruster, which have been sufficient for years.
