Skilsø
On October 2, 1919, Nils Roland started building boats at the southernmost point of the Norwegian Tromøy. Initially, the boats were built of wood. Until the late 1970s, this was the most common material. From the 1960s, experiments were made with building in polyester.
In the early 1980s, the annual production of polyester Skilsø ships was about 130 units. The models at that time consisted of the Skilsø 750 and later the 850. These types were later replaced by the Skilsø 33 and 36.
In 2011, Viknes took over the production rights and drawings of Skilsø, and production was moved to Viknes Arendal and Bergen. Viknes, together with the Skilsø brand, represents the typical perfect quality of Norwegian boats.
Skilsø 39 Panorama (MODEL 2018) After the success of the Skilsø 34 panorama, Skilsø presents a completely new model; The Skilsø 39 Panorama is the new flagship of Skilsø and will be presented at the boat show in Bergen, Norway.
For the engine, you can choose between a Yanmar or Volvo with a power of your choice up to a maximum of 2x 400HP. In terms of propulsion, there is also a choice between a Z-drive or a fixed propeller shaft.
The interior is very spacious for a 39-foot boat, and the design has chosen to use many large windows around the salon. The helm is equipped with a double seat, and next to it, there is also a double comfortable bench for those who want to watch with the skipper. The galley is equipped with a lot of luxury and is located in the middle of the salon at the same ground level as the spacious salon. In the middle, you will find a large U-shaped sofa with a large fixed table. Handy when you consider that this boat is engineered for 8 passengers for CE category B. The salon can be made even more spacious on a summer day by opening the mega large electric panorama roof window. Add to that the folding open doors to the aft deck, and the extremely spacious salon instantly becomes twice as large.
Because the salon and the aft deck are made on one floor level, it gives you that spacious panorama idea, which is also the strength of this boat. On the aft deck, there is more than enough space for a large table in combination with the large L-shaped sofa that is standard. On the spacious swimming platform, a smart choice has been made for an integrated bench against the aft deck. Here you can enjoy a beautiful view over the water and it is very handy as storage space. An additional great advantage is the larger than normal door next to the helm. This sliding door provides the skipper with the convenience of going up and down to the deck faster and easier without having to leave the boat through the salon and the aft deck.
Below deck, there are three spacious double beds in three different sleeping quarters. The master cabin in the bow is equipped with a large panorama roof window, and in the other two sleeping quarters, large windows just above water level have been chosen. Also, below deck on the starboard side, there is a toilet room equipped with a toilet and sink. On the port side, a separate shower room is positioned.
The exterior of this boat reflects the sleek design with the black windows all around in combination with the white hull and stainless steel railing. This 39-footer is 11.9 meters long, 3.8 meters wide, and has a draft of 1.1 meters. The Skilsø 39 is available in a Panorama version but also in a Flybridge version.
