The Dufour 460 Grand Large (2017) is a premium French cruising sailboat engineered by Felci Yacht Design. It perfectly balances elegant styling with high-performance sailing capabilities, featuring a wide hull design, dual helm stations, and a spacious cockpit designed for comfortable offshore cruising. This specific version is upgraded with the powerful Volvo Penta D2-75 engine, providing excellent reliability and additional thrust for challenging sea conditions.

Modern Hull and Keel DesignThe yacht features a modern monohull built from solid fiberglass (GRP) with distinct hard chines along the aft sections of the hull. These chines increase form stability when the boat heels under sail and expand the interior volume of the aft cabins. It is equipped with an L-shaped Fin Keel with a bulb made of cast iron, weighing 2,850 kg (approx. 26.5% ballast ratio), which keeps the center of gravity low for optimal upwind performance.

Upgraded Propulsion and Fuel SystemsThis model features the upgraded Volvo Penta D2-75 (75 HP) turbocharged diesel engine paired with a smooth Saildrive transmission. It holds a fuel capacity of 250 litres, allowing the vessel to reach a maximum speed of 8.5 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 7.5 knots. At cruising speed, the engine consumes roughly 5 litres per hour, providing a dependable cruising range of approximately 270 nautical miles entirely under power.

Deck Ergonomics and ComfortDesigned for ease of handling and open-air socializing, the deck layout includes a self-tacking jib and dual steering wheels with all control lines led back to the cockpit winches. The wide stern accommodates a massive cockpit complete with a signature transom-integrated gas grill (BBQ) and sink setup. A large, fold-down swim platform opens up the aft section completely, offering seamless access to the water.
