Bacchant IV
Due to age (mine, not the boat's), I am selling my Bacchant, which I have maintained and upgraded since 2005. It is equipped with nearly everything you could need.
I have set the price at 95,000. Something has to be listed. Of course, I want to get as much as possible for it, but ultimately that is something I can only determine with a buyer. So I am open to negotiations, but please refrain from making lowball offers; it is unfair to both the owner and the boat.
This is a solid Knud Reimer construction from 1967. Naturally, the boat shows some wear after 59 years of sailing, but it appears well-maintained and has been regularly serviced.
The forepeak has space for 2, a toilet (Jabasco), and a hand sink, along with a holding tank of approximately 20 liters. The cabin features a wide berth on the port side and a narrow berth on the starboard side, along with a small salon table on a swivel base (Laguna model). There is a quarter berth aft on the starboard side. On the port side is a functional pantry, stove with 2 burners, and a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment on top.
About 9 years ago, all foam in the cushions was renewed, and new upholstery was added. A Webasto oil heater provides warmth for those chilly days. There are two 85 amp batteries for consumption from 2025 and a starter battery from around 2022. Additionally, there is a relatively new charger, standard model. Two solar panels are installed, allowing me to comfortably anchor for 4-5 days with just a bit of scattered sunshine.
A few years ago, I laid teak in the cockpit on all the cockpit benches, replaced the trim on the cockpit coaming and winch plate, and changed the fender strip. There is a sprayhood that is about 3-4 years old and a cockpit tent. Two years ago, I installed new flooring (the hard wood in dark color).
There is a bow thruster "Sidepower," about 8 years old, and an electric windlass installed the year before. As far as I remember, there are 25 meters of 8mm anchor chain along with a modified 12 kg anchor that has never let go at the bottom. Davits are mounted (the dinghy has gone to rest and there is no motor). A swim ladder is also included. The deck features treadmaster flooring that shows wear but remains functional.
For propulsion, there is a mainsail in very good condition and a roller genoa also in good shape. Furthermore, there is quite a new genoa stored somewhere in my cellar; it will be a surprise how perfectly it fits on the roller. If the wind dies down, there’s a Vetus engine with 25 HP from 2005 that has no issues—neither coughs nor bad breath—and I once measured the tank at 32 liters (after all, this is a sailing boat).
There’s also a smaller chart plotter, log and depth sounder. An autopilot for the helm if weather permits.
I don’t think there’s anything I have forgotten to mention. I can’t be bothered to list what fenders, lines, and various spare parts are onboard; I know there are plenty.
