Bavaria 42-3 Custom Line – Wicked | 2008 | Very well equipped and heavily invested
The Bavaria 42-3 Custom Line Wicked is a comfortable and sturdy sailing yacht for those seeking a spacious Bavaria 42 with excellent sailing characteristics, ample comfort, and an impressive package of recent investments. This 2008 vessel is in very well-maintained condition and is set up for both relaxing vacations and longer sailing trips. The owner has significantly invested in areas including sails, navigation equipment, technical systems, and overall outfitting over the past few years.
A particularly strong point is the sail rigging. Both the mainsail and the genoa are from 2025, made by M-Sails and constructed from Challenge Atlantic Premium Cruise Dacron. The mainsail has an area of 37 m² while the genoa measures 51 m². Both sails were installed in the spring of 2025 and are therefore virtually new. The combination with the Furlex roller system and Lewmar winches, including electric winches, makes this yacht very user-friendly under sail.
On the technical and electronic front, the Bavaria 42 Custom Line is excellently equipped. In 2021, a Raymarine Axiom 9+ chartplotter, Quantum Q2 4D Doppler radar, and Raymarine Ray63 VHF radio were installed among other upgrades. Additionally, Wicked features Raymarine ST60+ instruments, a Raymarine SmartPilot ST6002 autopilot, and AIS. The compasses were renewed in 2024.
The investments continue further. The three Vetus AGM batteries of 140 Ah are from 2025, along with various other updates. In 2026, components such as the saildrive seal, all seacocks, impeller pump, cooling water hoses, aerator, and silencer were replaced. The engine received a major service in January 2026.
On deck, the yacht is equipped with a sprayhood, bimini top, cockpit tent, swim platform, teak in the cockpit, and a practical cockpit table with an extension. The saloon was renewed in 2021 while the roller blinds were replaced in 2022. Inside you will find three cabins, two wet cells, a spacious saloon, and a longitudinal galley.
Wicked has a CE design category A (Ocean) rating and is designed for sailing at sea under harsh conditions.
