Developed from the very popular Hallberg-Rassy 34, the German Frers-designed Hallberg-Rassy 342 took all the great attributes of the popular 34 and improved upon them where possible. It stretched the lines slightly to maximise the use of the hull volume, creating a brighter and more spacious interior living space. The rig was also stretched and tweaked to improve performance while making the boat easier for a small crew to handle in all conditions.Hull number 4 of the Hallberg-Rassy 342’s AMAZING GRACE featured on the UK importers' Southampton Boatshow stand for the 2005 and 2006 shows. Based in Scotland since 2007 she has been with her current owner since 2008. A treasured and very lightly used example she has logged less than 5,500 nautical miles. Fastidiously maintained, she is in exceptional condition for her age. Now reluctantly offered for sale as her owner looks to retire from sailing. Her extensive inventory highlights include:Hull professionally polished 2026Hempel Epoxy applied to under water hull 2021Volvo Penta D1-30 marine diesel engineSail drive diaphragm replaced 2021 3-blade bronze folding propellerDomestic and Engine batteries fitted new in 2023Renogy 100w flexible panel with Renogy Wanderer Solar Charge Controller Mastervolt Chargemaster 12/35-3 battery chargerRaymarine ST400 control headRaymarine ST60 Navigation InstrumentsRaymarine C80 Chart plotter with 2kw radome scannerRaymarine RAY54E DSC VHFENO gas cookerJabsco manual marine toiletWebasto Airtop 3500 diesel-fired blown-air heating systemStainless steel standing rigging, fully replaced 2026 Stackpack mainsail cover with lazyjacks, Elvstrom Sails (2025)Sprayhood (2018)Delta plough anchor on chain rode, 74m (chain new for 2024 season)Lofrans Project 1000 electric windlassSeago 230 inflatable dinghyLying ashore in Troon Yacht Haven the Hallberg-Rassy 342 AMAZING GRACE is available for immediate viewing by appointment.CONSTRUCTIONHull Construction:Hull constructed of single-piece GRP moulding.Isophthalic gelcoat and isophthalic polyester resin for laminationHand lay-up method, insulated with Divinycell PVC-foam against heat and cold, except in the keel area, which is solid laminate.
