Enedice is a 16.30-meter cruising sailboat launched in 2003 by the prestigious JFA shipyard, whose quality is regularly praised in the professional press. It was refitted in 2016 and has undergone technical updates since 2023. This JFA 53 DS is an ocean-going vessel renowned for its robustness, comfort, and excellent seaworthiness. Built in aluminum with a teak deck, this monohull offers high-end features for long-distance cruising.
Its raised saloon is unique on the market for a boat of this generation and allows for a panoramic view of the surrounding environment while remaining inside. Equipped with a powerful 115 hp Nanni N4.115 engine on a shaft drive with a Maxprop propeller, it boasts a cruising speed of 7 knots and a top speed of 8.5 knots. Its large 1,400-liter fuel tank ensures a long range. This fuel capacity is complemented by a 1,400-liter water tank.
Enedice is also completely energy self-sufficient, as it is equipped with a state-of-the-art generator (2023), solar panels, and two wind turbines. Energy management is handled by a complete Victron system. It has 640 Ah service batteries in addition to two separate batteries for the engine and generator.
The boat has 3 cabins, 8 berths, 2 bathrooms, and 2 electric toilets, with a generous headroom of 2.10 m. The interior is particularly comfortable, featuring reversible air conditioning, a water heater, a watermaker, a refrigerator, a freezer, an oven, a stove, a stereo system, and a television. This meticulously maintained JFA has benefited from numerous recent upgrades: standing rigging (2024), rigid bimini (2024), generator (2023), solar panels (2025), AIS (2023), gennaker (2024), staysail (2023), batteries and generator (2023), as well as a 2022 life raft serviced in 2025. Navigation equipment is comprehensive: GPS, chartplotter, radar, navigation system, autopilot with backup, VHF radio, wind vane/anemometer (2024), and AIS. The hull is insulated above the waterline to allow sailing in the highest latitudes. A hull inspection reveals no signs of corrosion on this hull, which was originally painted with five coats of epoxy.
