Persephone is a well-presented example of David Sadler's celebrated Sadler 32, the design that took the proven seakeeping of the Contessa 32 and gave it a wider, drier hull with markedly more room below. The result is one of the best-loved British offshore cruisers of her generation: stiff, sure-footed and forgiving, with a deserved reputation for looking after her crew when the weather turns.
This particular boat has been prepared for serious sailing. She was fitted out for an Atlantic crossing in 2021 and carries the safety inventory to match, including a liferaft (serviced in 2025), a Lifesling, a drogue with warp stowed under the cockpit sole, a man-overboard recovery sling, jackstays and a radar reflector. Six lifejackets, safety harnesses and a Musto offshore suit are included in the sale.
The present owners have had her for four years and have invested sensibly. A second-hand Bukh 20 diesel was recently fitted, and was serviced in July 2026; a new Onwa KP27 chartplotter with integrated AIS transceiver has been fitted; and the electrical system has been upgraded with a Sterling four-stage charger, an inverter and 300W of solar through a Renogy controller, making her well suited to extended cruising away from shore power. A new storm sail completes the offshore picture.
She is tiller steered and easy to handle short-handed, with single-line reefing, Furlex roller headsail, lazy jacks and a stack pack. Below decks she sleeps seven in two cabins with a proper chart table and a saloon table for entertaining in harbour.
Persephone is UK VAT paid and SSR registered and comes with bills of sale showing five years' clear title. The Sadler 32 owner's manual and the engine manual are also present. She lies afloat at Noss Marina, Dartmouth, and is available to view by appointment through our Dartmouth office.
