The renowned French shipyard sets sail with catamarans!

Exciting news, isn't it? We were also thrilled and are delighted to share exclusive details about the new Dufour 48 sailing catamarans. Our customers have valued the design and performance of Dufour sailing yachts. With a range of boats from 30-63 feet, the successful Grand Large and Exclusive series of sailing yachts have demonstrated remarkable sailing characteristics, including bluewater cruising capabilities without compromising on comfort. As one of the first shipyards, Dufour introduced their innovative outdoor kitchens, consisting of a grill, sink, and refrigerators integrated into the cockpit table, to emphasize outdoor living space. With this expertise and experience, combining the key attributes of building sporty yachts with many luxurious amenities, it was a logical step to meet the demand and launch a Dufour sailing catamaran.

Dufour 48 Catamaran
Leveraging the application of cutting-edge, advanced construction techniques, Dufour partnered with their longtime collaborator Umberto Felci of Felci Yachts to design the Dufour 48 Cat. The goal was to conceive a perfect balance between exterior and interior space. The result: a complete sailing catamaran perfectly suited for charter operations, raising the bar for other boats currently on the market under 50 feet. A standout feature appreciated by most of our customers is the expansive flybridge, providing a comfortable upper deck for socializing, relaxing, sunbathing, or navigating with panoramic views of the surroundings. The Dufour 48 catamaran features a complete flybridge accessible from either the side deck (port) or the cockpit (starboard), offering ample space for sun worshippers. A bimini will provide shade, and the elevated helm station will boast its own skipper hardtop with state-of-the-art navigation systems and all winches necessary for short-term sailing pleasure. A large table invites drinks and snacks, and the vast lounging area with sunbeds on the flybridge will easily accommodate more than the 12 guests this beautiful catamaran is registered for.
The Dufour 48 catamaran boasts a spacious cockpit with a large dining table for al fresco dining, multiple sofas, and a BBQ grill. A notable feature known from larger sailing catamarans is the 3.80m electric aft platform. Integrated tender davits in the catamaran's structure make the electric platform ideal for safely launching a dinghy into the water, as well as being appreciated as an extended private beach at sea level.
The Dufour 48 catamaran is not just a pretty face. Comfort and functionality are the motives inside, with a modular dinette convertible into dining or day mode, a fully equipped galley, and a chart table with state-of-the-art instruments and autopilot control. With sophisticated space management and only three-step access to the cabins and day head, featuring separate showers and toilets for all guest cabins, as well as large hatches for ventilation and natural light, the interior design received the same attention as the striking exterior lines of the Dufour 48 catamaran.
