This unit First 40 Beneteau is in fair condition, second owner since 2017, the life raft and equipment need updating, they will be left on board as they are and are not considered part of the negotiation

Maintenance in recent years:
11.2025: replacement of through-hull fittings and seacocks, sealing of the stern pulpit and instrumentation in the console, partial bulb fairing as requested in the survey, available survey conducted in November 2025 before the work to establish the condition of the hull, any delaminations or signs of osmosis, the boat was found to be in perfect condition, all requests for routine maintenance have been carried out and checked
12.2025: complete antifouling with zincs and treatment on the propeller (photos available after treatment)
11.2024: Webasto service (recharge)
06.2024: complete engine service with riser and replacement of the heat exchanger, self-drive membrane not replaced because Yanmar (official assistance) did not consider it necessary
04.2024: new Facnor furler drum June 2024
The boiler is missing, the circuit is there but has never been present, a rollable headsail is missing and the wind instrument was lost during a transfer.

DYFORM STAYS The First models of this generation were equipped with dyform stays, a material that is still recommended today in the configuration of a First.
comparison with standard stays: it has a breaking load 25-30% higher than the standard of the same diameter and being denser and more compact, it "stretches less," which means that the mast remains more stable and the sail adjustments are more precise, the stay does not stretch under load. Dyform tends to last from 10 to 12 years with regular cruising use, the smooth surface retains less salt, making it less prone to corrosion. It costs significantly more, 50-80% more compared to the standard, less expensive and less rigid than the "rod." Dyform is an excellent upgrade perfect for fast cruising.
