WAFI has had a captain maintain her for most of her life. Summer sailing seasons have been short with mostly cruising, the occasional race and always in the Finnish waters. Winter storage has always been inside a heated shed with the rig removed. The result of the above is a Swan 461 in extraordinary condition cosmetically and with respect to her systems, rigging and sails. WAFI is 1 of 25 Swan 461s ever built. Of those, only a hand full was built with the daggerboard providing just 4 ’ of draft with the board up. The Swan 461 was one of the first Swans Nautor built with the preferred swept back spreader rig and non-overlapping headsails. Add to this the electric winches and single cockpit deck plan, then WAFI is a simple boat to shorthand or even single hand. The interior plan for this 46 ’ sailboat is voluminous with 3 ample sleeping cabins, 2 heads and spacious galley and saloon. Make no mistake, WAFI is a very special Swan and highly recommended.
