This robustly built design by David Freeman and Gordon Wyatt is known worldwide as one of the most beloved motor sailors in its class. Recently maintained and technically cared for The “Vesta” is in a neat and well-maintained condition. In 2008, a powerful and reliable Yanmar 4JH4AE diesel engine of 53 hp was installed. This modern four-cylinder diesel engine has approximately 2000 running hours, runs smoothly and economically, and, together with the large 360-liter diesel tank, provides a great sailing range. The fuel consumption is approximately 2 liters per hour. In addition, various works have been carried out in recent years, including painting the hull in 2023 and renewals to rigging and deck equipment. The ship is annually on the hard during winter and has been proactively treated against osmosis.
