Vinylester resin is incorporated into the outer laminate layers, together with an NPG gelcoat finish, to provide enhanced resistance against osmotic blistering. Above the waterline, the hull benefits from end-grain balsa core construction to improve rigidity while reducing overall weight. Additional Kevlar reinforcement is integrated into the forward sections of the hull from the keel upwards for increased impact protection.
