The Tamarisk 24 is a modern interpretation of the traditional Cornish working boat, combining classic lines with practical cruising ability. Deck
Cabin
The compact interior offers up to 4 berths. Up forward there is a V berth with a deck opening hatch. The separate heads compartment is to port with a manual marine toilet and heads basin with a manually pumped water supply. In the saloon, there is a single settee berth to starboard. Small dinette to port which doubles up as a chart table. Single quarter berth to port.
Opposite to starboard is the linear galley comprising of an Aqua-Chef two-burner gas hob with grill. Galley sink with a manually pumped cold water supply.
Blue Draylon upholstery. Opening hatches. 12 volt cabin lighting.
Sails and Spars
Gaff rigged cutter. Wooden deck stepped mast, boom, gaff and bow sprit. Tabernacle. Stainless steel standing rigging (new 2024). Terylene running rigging. Running back stays. Two Lewmar 15 self-tailing sheet winches. Two Barton halyard winches. Slab reefed mainsail. Furling gib system. Hanked on staysail. Some lines led aft.
Machinery
Located beneath the companionway steps is the Beta 16 marine diesel engine fitted new in 2024. 16hp, twin cylinder, naturally aspirated. Freshwater cooled via a heat exchanger. Shaft driven to a fixed 3 bladed propeller. Single lever engine controls. Electric start. Plastic fuel tank. New stern greaser (2024). Approximately 5 engine hours.
