The Fountaine Pajot FP48 is a new-generation cruising catamaran designed for owners with serious offshore ambitions. At nearly 15 metres in length, she combines generous living spaces, efficient circulation, modern onboard technology and easy handling for a reduced crew.
A natural successor to the Tanna 47, the FP48 introduces a more refined and versatile approach to long-distance cruising, with multiple layout configurations designed to suit very different ownership programmes.
BUILT FOR OCEAN CRUISING, DESIGNED FOR EASY LIVINGThe FP48 has been conceived as an owner-focused catamaran capable of combining comfort, autonomy and simplicity of use.
Her main deck layout creates an exceptionally fluid living environment. The saloon and cockpit connect through a wide 3-metre sliding door, transforming the interior and exterior into one continuous space.
Aft, the cockpit offers several relaxation areas close to the water, including a chaise longue overlooking the wake, a generous cockpit bench and additional seating for guests. The roof lounge provides another social area with elevated views, while the foredeck can also be configured with additional lounging spaces.
Whether underway, at anchor or entertaining guests, the FP48 offers a variety of spaces in which everyone can find their own place.
THREE DISTINCT LAYOUT CONFIGURATIONSOne of the key strengths of the FP48 is the choice of layouts available, allowing owners to select the configuration that best matches their cruising plans.
Full Maestro Version
The Full Maestro is the most owner-focused configuration and is designed around a large private owner’s suite.
It includes:
1 spacious owner’s suite
1 private owner’s bathroom
2 double guest cabins
2 additional bathrooms
This configuration creates a particularly generous private area for the owner and is ideally suited to couples planning extended bluewater cruising while still retaining comfortable guest accommodation.
A distinctive feature of the owner’s area is its multifunctional space, which can optionally be transformed into a walk-in wardrobe, creating a level of privacy and comfort rarely found on a sailing catamaran of this size.
Classic Maestro Version
The Classic Maestro offers a balanced compromise between private owner accommodation and additional guest capacity.
It retains a dedicated owner’s section while providing a layout that can accommodate a broader cruising programme, making it particularly attractive for owners who regularly welcome family and friends onboard.
Quintet Version
For owners seeking maximum accommodation capacity, the Quintet configuration prioritises additional cabins and sleeping arrangements.
This version is particularly well suited to larger families, extended groups or programmes where guest capacity is a priority.
Depending on the selected configuration, the FP48 offers 3 or 4 cabins and accommodation for up to 10 guests.
A PRIVATE SPACE FOR EVERYONE, ENJOYMENT FOR ALLThe FP48 is designed not only around private accommodation, but also around shared moments onboard.
The cockpit dining table comfortably welcomes up to 8 guests, while the roof lounge also provides generous seating for socialising, relaxing or enjoying an evening drink under the stars.
The yacht therefore combines multiple private spaces with large communal areas, making her equally suitable for family cruising, entertaining guests or spending long periods onboard.
A GALLEY AT THE HEART OF LIFE ON BOARDThe centrally positioned galley plays an important role in the FP48’s layout.
Designed with excellent circulation in mind, it features a large refrigeration unit, generous storage and a central island incorporating a bar area.
The galley also connects directly with the forward cockpit, creating a practical link between the main interior living area and the exterior spaces.
Its position close to the elevated helm station further reinforces the sense of continuity and makes everyday life onboard particularly intuitive.
AUTONOMY AND MODERN TECHNOLOGYThe FP48 has also been developed with onboard energy management in mind.
She can be equipped with up to 2,300W of solar panels, seamlessly integrated into the roof structure to provide substantial renewable energy for onboard systems.
This energy production supports greater autonomy during extended cruising and can also contribute to the optional ODSea+ hybrid propulsion system, offering a quieter and more sustainable cruising experience.
COMFORTABLE, CONTEMPORARY AND HIGHLY VERSATILEThe FP48 combines modern interior design with light woods, soft materials, generous natural light and rounded furniture lines to create a calm and contemporary atmosphere.
The different upholstery and interior finish options allow each owner to further personalise the yacht according to their preferences, while the latest Millésime places particular emphasis on comfort, brightness, simplicity and the use of recycled fabrics.
