Imagine is a high-performance ORC 42 built by Marsaudon Composites and designed by Christophe Barreau -- a combination renowned for producing lightweight, fast and capable offshore cruising catamarans.
The current owner acquired Imagine as a carefully selected pre-owned vessel, with a clear objective: to own a yacht that could deliver speed, efficiency and reliability over long-distance passages without sacrificing safety or simplicity. From the outset, she stood out thanks to her carbon rig, retractable daggerboards and performance-oriented sail plan -- all key elements that define her responsive and rewarding sailing characteristics.
Throughout ownership, Imagine has been continuously maintained and refined to ensure she remains a dependable offshore platform. Her sail inventory was renewed in 2021 with durable Hydranet sails, complemented by additional performance sails that enhance both versatility and efficiency across a wide range of conditions.
Technically, she is well equipped for serious passagemaking. Twin Yanmar engines provide reliable propulsion, while a combined Raymarine and NKE navigation suite ensures precise and confident routing offshore. Starlink connectivity, a Victron-supported electrical system with solar generation, and a high-output watermaker delivering 200L/h all contribute to excellent autonomy at sea.
True to her design philosophy, Imagine remains simple, functional and purpose-driven -- a yacht built to sail rather than sit idle. She has already proven herself on extended offshore passages and is currently en route from Tahiti toward Thailand, where she is scheduled to be handed over to her next owner.
This positioning offers a unique opportunity to acquire a proven performance catamaran already located at the gateway to the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia cruising grounds.
Parting with Imagine has not been an easy decision. She has been a trusted and capable partner, delivering fast, efficient and memorable sailing experiences. However, with new projects and ambitions ahead, the owner has made the decision to pass her on.
Now ready for her next chapter, Imagine will suit an owner seeking a performance-oriented cruising catamaran -- well maintained, offshore proven, and ready to continue exploring the world's oceans.
