1. Construction and Safety
The yacht is designed for stability and durability. The hull and deck are manufactured using hand-laid GRP laminate; in the deck area, sandwich laminate provides additional rigidity. Reinforced keel, bow, and deck areas, a collision bulkhead in the forepeak, and the large-area transfer of shroud loads increase structural safety.
On this solid foundation, the result is a yacht that is not only robustly built, but also prepared for active and comfortable sailing.
2. Deck, Rig, and Sails
The deck is designed for safe handling and short working distances. A low central cockpit with wheel steering, single-lever control, and an illuminated compass supports control under sail and engine. Teak surfaces, sturdy fittings, a bathing ladder, anchor, chain, and electric anchor windlass complement the practical deck equipment.
The 7/8 fractional rig with double spreaders, furling mainsail, and roller-reefing genoa is designed for sporty yet easily controllable sailing. Halyards, winches, and stoppers are arranged so that the essential maneuvers can be handled comfortably from the cockpit.
While the deck and rig are focused on safety and performance, the interior places the emphasis on living comfort and high-quality materials.
3. Interior and Comfort
The interior fit-out is made of Sapelli mahogany and lacquered surfaces. The standard layout includes double berths in the forecabin and aft cabin, saloon, chart table, galley, and a heads compartment with a separate shower area.
Ergonomic seating surfaces, rounded edges, ventilated storage spaces, and a functional galley with refrigerator box, cooker, oven, and pressurized water supply make the SUNBEAM 37 suitable even for longer stays on board.
Living comfort is complemented by solid technical equipment that supports navigation, power supply, and onboard operation.
4. Technology and Electrical Systems
Propulsion is provided by a 55 hp diesel engine with dual-circuit cooling and shaft drive. The onboard electrical system is designed as a 12-volt system with starter and service batteries, charger, shore power connection, and switch panel.
