The Southerly 115 sailboat is a habitable cruising monohull, built by Northshore Yachts in the United Kingdom. This sailboat features a lifting keel and was designed by naval architect Humphreys.
Born before World War II, Northshore Yachts is a true British leader. With English construction, the Southerly brand has strengthened and become internationally recognized as a market leader in variable draft cruising yachts. Northshore is the main manufacturer of sailboats in the UK. Northshore Yachts, Northshore shipyard, is much more than just a shipbuilder. As often in the UK, its creators have established a real nautical complex. These facilities are intended to offer all possible services to boaters who frequent the beautiful Chichester Bay.
This 1986 sailboat is equipped with a 36 hp diesel Buck engine, a 1200w "Tigre" windlass, an hydrovane (autopilot: course regulator), a solar panel, and a wind generator. It has the characteristics of an adventurer, and its previous owners have not hesitated to take it far: Greece, the Red Sea, and of course, the Mediterranean.
Its shallow draft allows it to be versatile, going where others can't.
