Her speed comes from the lightweight carbon structure and daring design – her overall weight is only 7 900 kg – 45% of which is found in the keel bulb. She has a retractable keel, with a blade made of carbon, which allows the draft to decrease from 3.3m to 2m.

Large twin rudders keep the Shogun 50 steady and safe in the water, she is almost impossible to wipe out. Thanks to the mast being so far aft, the increased foretriangle allows plenty of headsail options to choose from depending on the conditions and occasion. Just like a skiff, she also has an extendable bowsprit, making her a real blast to sail.

The spray rails limit the amount of water on deck, while the bow shape gives the hull a longer water line, increasing performance. The sleek line of the bow has been carefully designed to continue the angle of the forestay, giving the Shogun 50 a smooth and contemporary design that stands out.
