A classic gem is now for sale. I have owned this beautiful Amigo23 for 18 years and have had the most wonderful sailing experiences in this very seaworthy and robust little family boat over the years.
A boat that must be seen and experienced.
The coastal cruiser Amigo23 is built at Arksunds Bådebyggeri and designed by Carl Anderson with the aim of creating a seaworthy family boat. A true offshore sailor made of fiberglass, designed for safety and security.
The boat follows traditional lines for long-keel boats with a 7/8 rig. All stays are solidly attached to the hull, and since the rudder sits as deep as the keel, the boat has excellent maneuverability, even under significant heel.
Features:
Seaworthiness: Very stable and secure in rough weather due to the long keel.
Sailing: Easy to sail singlehanded, but not a fast boat.
Space: Practically arranged as a classic "pocket cruiser" for trips with a small crew.
I took over the boat in 2008, and since then it has undergone continuous updates.
Since taking ownership, there has been a new sprayhood, boom cover, new mainsail with 4 full-length battens and 2 reef points, bronze through-hull fitting, all wooden plugs replaced in the cockpit, water tank, new upholstery, mainsail sheet, carpet in the salon, curtains, new upholstery on cushions, new cold foam mattresses/salon.
2021: New replacement engine Vire7 with pig tail, anti-siphon valve, exhaust system, water trap, seawater filter.
2023: New wiring for top lights, C-tec battery charger.
2024: New windows/plexiglass, separating relay.
2025: The bottom scraped down to bare wood and primed with 8 layers of Hempel products (60 hours of work) – cockpit repainted – one-component paint.
2026: 2 new Exide Marine batteries (house and starting).
A wide range of equipment is included: Fire extinguisher, fire blanket, emergency kit, sunshade, rain cover, anchor line/chain, buckets, all maintenance supplies for hull/deck (polish, wax, shampoo etc.), Business Marine starter set (16 pieces), new warm blankets, marine cockpit table, teak table salon, special tools for the engine.
