Classic Amel bluewater cruising yacht – extensively refitted and ready to go
This exceptionally well-maintained Amel stands for uncompromising seaworthiness, safety, and comfort. For decades, Amel has enjoyed cult status among bluewater sailors and is on par in quality with Hallberg-Rassy.
The build quality is outstanding: a heavily laminated hull with no weak spots, no hairline cracks, and no soft areas. Laminate thicknesses of up to approx. 2.5 cm in the bow underline the robust construction. All bulkheads are not only bonded but fully laminated to the hull, providing a level of structural rigidity rarely found in modern production yachts. The result: no creaking, no flexing—just a solid, smooth ride, even in heavy weather.
Under sail as well as under power, the yacht is fast and efficient. Cruising speeds of 6–7 knots under engine and 9–11 knots under sail in good conditions are realistic. Thoughtful details such as water tanks in the keel (approx. 370 l) increase ballast and thus enhance stability.
The boat was acquired in October 2023 and, after around 2,000 working hours, has been brought to an almost as-new technical and visual condition, with a focus on maximum autonomy, safety, and bluewater capability. 2025 Refit: - New Vetus engine (52 HP turbo), including gearbox, coupling, and complete peripherals - Complete renewal of the electrical system (wiring, panel, monitoring) - New lithium house batteries (2 x 300 Ah) with BMS - New high-output alternator (160 A) - New Victron/Ective energy and charging systems - New refrigeration compressors and freezer system - Raymarine navigation electronics fully renewed - New AIS system (Onwa) - New EPIRB (ACR) - Electric anchor windlass overhauled - Running rigging completely renewed - New Spade anchor - Extensive upgrades for bluewater cruising and autonomy

Condition & Valuation A recent valuation report (06/2025) confirms a market value of EUR 110,000. Due to further investments and extensive additional equipment, the actual value is higher (estimated at least EUR 125,000). The boat is sold fully equipped. The sale is due to health reasons following an already commenced bluewater voyage (reaching the Caribbean). The vessel has been transported back to Germany by cargo ship and is now located in Berlin. It is in very good technical condition with no maintenance backlog. Contact me for more information, photos and to arrange a video walkthrough or viewing.
