Engines & Mechanics
This Sunseeker 48 Superhawk is equipped with three Volvo Penta KAD 44 engines – powerful and reliable diesel engines known for their balance of performance and fuel efficiency. Each engine produces approx. 260 hp, giving a total output of 780 hp. The engines are connected to Volvo Penta Duoprop drives, providing excellent grip in the water, rapid acceleration, and precise maneuvering. The boat reaches planing speed almost seamlessly.The engines were fully overhauled in 2015/2016 in Gdansk, Poland, and have run only about 50 hours since.The combination of triple KAD engines and duoprop drives makes this boat a beast on the water, with a top speed of approx. 40 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 30–35 knots.All exterior deck areas are self-draining.
