This is a rare offering of a later model 36' Carver Mariner, a unique boat with first principle design to create better usability and flow around the boat. Step aboard and the first thing you'll notice is what's missing: steps. The accommodations in this 2012 Carver Mariner 36 were built around a single-level floor plan that carries you from the cockpit through the salon, galley, and into the stateroom without a single stair to navigate — a hallmark of the Mariner series and still one of the smartest layouts in a 36' flybridge cruiser. Carver achieved this by doing something unconventional with the naval architecture: rather than running the side decks aft at cabin height, they lifted the walkways above the cabin windows and routed them straight up to the bridge. The payoff is a full-beam salon with more usable living space than almost anything else in her class — flooded with natural light through oversized cabin windows. This is a boat built for gathering. The flybridge seats up to ten and includes a wet bar, port and starboard lounges, and an aft bench — genuinely one of the best entertaining decks at this length. Below, the salon's booth-style dinette, opposing settee, and centerline queen stateroom (with dual-access head and separate stall shower) make her just as comfortable for overnighting as she is for a raft-up. What really sets this particular Mariner apart, though, is what's at the helm. She's powered by twin 5.0L MerCruiser SeaCore engines — Mercury's saltwater-hardened, fuel-injected V8s built with extra corrosion protection for the drives and exhaust — paired with Digital Throttle & Shift for smooth, precise electronic control instead of mechanical cables. Layered on top of that is Mercury's Axius joystick piloting system, which lets you dock, pivot in place, and slide sideways into a slip with a single fingertip, and Skyhook dynamic positioning, which holds the boat's exact heading and position at the push of a button using GPS and an electronic compass — no wheel, no throttles, no drama, even if you're waiting on a bridge opening or holding for marina entry.
This vessel has annual moorage in Sidney, which may be available to the end purchaser with the marinas approval.
Manufacturers Description:
With its distinctive single-level interior floor plan, the 36 Mariner provides easy maneuverability, entertaining, and livability. Her sizeable cockpit accommodates the fun, while a spacious bridge is only a few, easy-to-climb steps away and offers impressive seating for 12. The full-beam salon is a wide-open invitation with large and plentiful windows for welcome natural light. The comfortable master stateroom features an island berth with pillow-top, innerspring mattress and private head access. For added accommodations, the face-to-face dinette converts to double berth. As with all Carver Yachts, the Mariner is fully featured with air conditioning and Kohler generator, standard. Superior construction methods and engineering in our exclusive C.A.S.T. system further separates the 36 Mariner as best in class.
A sliding patio door from the cockpit provides access to the accommodations. There is a short wide stairway down to the salon. From here the boat is all one level through the entire interior.
Salon:
Galley - The galley is midship to starboard, open and on the same level as the salon. It is an attractive and well equipped space, with room to cook.
Primary Stateroom - Located in the forepeak you will find a pleasant spacious space, the continues with the light colored liners, attractive light millwork, and the hardwood flooring extends to this space.
Head & Shower - Midship to port you will find the generous head compartment.
This design has unique combination of spaces that are all easy to access. Access aboard is via the large extended bathing platform and through a center mounted transom gate into the spacious cockpit. From the cockpit you have port and starboard stairways wrapping around to the bridge deck. From here there are wide walkways on both port and starboard to access the foredeck, as well as walking into the flybridge seating and helm area. I can not emphasize enough on how easy this boat is to maneuver around. No shuffling up narrow side decks to get to the bow.
