Proper Job is a well maintained Seaward 35 with a strong reputation for confident offshore cruising and dependable all-weather performance. Designed by Arthur Mursell of TT Boat Designs, the semi-displacement hull combines reassuring seakeeping with comfortable passage speeds and the solid, purposeful construction for which Seaward is known.

Powered by twin 350hp Yanmar 6LYA six-cylinder diesel engines through Hurth hydraulic gearboxes, she cruises comfortably at around 22 knots and reaches approximately 28 knots at full speed. Her cruising range is around 275 nautical miles. Twin stainless steel shafts, four-blade contra-rotating propellers, Stripper rope cutters, bronze airfoil rudders and trim tabs provide a proven and robust propulsion arrangement. A Vetus bow thruster, fitted in 2021, assists with close-quarters handling.

History and Maintenance

Proper Job has been maintained and improved by her current, highly experienced owner, with a detailed service and maintenance history available. The machinery shows approximately 950 hours and the specification reflects practical investment in both offshore capability and ease of ownership.

The deck inventory includes an electric anchor windlass, Bruce anchor with 50 metres of galvanised chain, telescopic grounding legs, Weaver snap davits, a navy cockpit canopy. Her teak and stainless steel bathing platform provides straightforward access from the water, with both a built-in swim ladder and extended boarding ladder.
