The Hogstean, sailing under the German flag, is a versatile work vessel of 26 meters, built in 1985 in Husum, Germany, and serves as a solid and proven work platform, ideal for coastal operations and technical missions. The ship underwent an extensive refit in 2019/2020, significantly increasing its appeal for an owner or operator looking for a reliable, operational, and immediately deployable vessel. With a length of 26.00 meters, a width of 7.20 meters, and a shallow draft of only 1.50 meters, the ship offers excellent accessibility and a wide range of applications, particularly in coastal and harbor areas.

The vessel has a tonnage of 156 GT and is classified according to DNV-GL 100 A5 MC, with a class valid until March 2029. The last Special Survey was conducted in April 2024, which is a significant advantage in terms of compliance and predictability of future maintenance costs. The Hogstean is certified for navigation area A1 and is excellently suited for coastal shipping, thanks to its robust construction and clear "work vessel" configuration. The ship features a deck area of approximately 60 m², providing ample workspace for handling, transporting materials, and various operational tasks.

The propulsion is provided by two Cummins N14M engines with a power output of 466 kW, achieving a maximum speed of around 12 knots. For operational tasks, there is a particularly suitable working speed between 3 and 10 knots, ideal for inspection and intervention work. The ship is also equipped with a bow thruster, which significantly improves maneuverability in ports and precision in positioning. The energy supply and operational capacity are supported by multiple auxiliary generators, consisting of a 130 kW unit and three other auxiliary units of 40 kW, 40 kW, and 38 kW, ensuring a reliable power supply for onboard installations and operational needs.

For handling and support, the Hogstean is equipped with powerful lifting devices, including two remote-controlled cranes. The Atlas 2201A3 offers a lifting capacity of 3.76 tons at 4.5 meters, while the Palfinger PK100 has a capacity of 1.28 tons at 4.4 meters. For mooring, the ship has two bow anchors and the option for a three-point mooring, which is particularly appreciated for operations requiring a stable position. The accommodation onboard can accommodate up to seven people, with a layout of three single cabins and two double cabins, providing a comfortable solution for crew and technicians.

The ship was previously used for research activities but is now offered without installed or included research equipment, allowing the buyer full flexibility to adapt the vessel to their own needs and missions.
