The Pilot Yacht from the Explorer class of Next Generation Shipyards, built in 2016, is a rugged and highly seaworthy vessel (CE-A Ocean-going) with the luxury of a yacht both inside and out. It was born from the experiences of the NG shipyard owner and some staff members who were former co-directors/owners and builders of "No Limit." Over 25 units of "No Limits" were constructed by them. After the owners of No Limit went their separate ways, the new NG shipyard owner wanted to introduce a more modern version of the "No Limit" to the market, resulting in the aforementioned yacht. The shipyard has since grown significantly and continues to build professional seaworthy vessels such as crew tenders, survey ships, and pilot boats for the Dutch pilotage service. The ship has been demonstrably well-maintained under the current and first owner. The extensive and professional Simrad navigation equipment, AIS transponder, and Simrad 4G radar ensure a comfortable journey with a high level of safety. The high-quality 2-component polyurethane blue hull coating is in good condition along with the rest of the vessel. The Volvo Penta D6 diesel engines (each 435 hp) drive the propellers built into half tunnels, providing less vulnerability, better protection, and reduced draft. The D-fenders all around enhance stability (=safety) in rough weather. Ample storage space is available throughout the ship with numerous cabinets and drawers. The vessel is equipped with: Spacious and deep open cockpit for sheltered seating with fixed bench including corresponding cushions, the cockpit features a canopy with night/work lighting and can be extended with a canvas sunshade, cockpit with enclosed (deep) lockers, large hatch in the aft ship, foldable transom usable as a swim platform, entrance to wheelhouse/salon via aft and side door (SB), unobstructed view all around from the helm, luxurious Norsapp helm chair, professionally arranged dashboard with high-quality Simrad navigation instruments, onboard Wi-Fi via 4G, an electrically adjustable co-pilot seat for height with a cozy setting at the cocktail table, the interior boasts comfortable floor heating, Luxaflex pleated sun blinds, Samsung TV on lift in salon, Samsung TV in forward cabin, large sliding roof above helm station, Bosch kitchen appliances with induction hob / microwave oven / dishwasher, mosquito screens, Samsung washer/dryer combo, electrically sensitive equipment housed in the "technical room." The forepeak provides storage space for various items such as ropes and fenders as well as the anchor chain. The engine room features an automatic fire suppression system & double fuel filters. The radar arch is electrically foldable, as well as the transom which is electrically operable both in the cockpit outside and on the dashboard inside. A comfortable cruising speed for inland waters is around 6-7 knots with a total consumption of approximately 10 liters per hour. The maximum speed is around 25 knots.
