THE SHIPYARD
The Gagliotta Shipyards are one of the historic and most esteemed brands of Italian boating, founded
in the early 1950s in Naples by Salvatore Gagliotta.
The shipyard is famous for having created legendary boats that have become a reference point for the
upper middle class of Naples and for lovers of high-performance boats.
The founder, Salvatore, was among the first in Italy to optimize deep V hulls inspired by
the geometric designs of Ray Hunt. This design allows the boats to literally cut
through the waves while maintaining exceptional stability even in rough seas.
In the early decades after the war, the shipyard tested its structures by participating in
tough offshore powerboat races, then transferring those structural solutions to
series production.
With the arrival of the new millennium and the collaboration with architect Stefano Mango, the
line to which the Gagliotta 37 belongs was born, combining fishing/utility qualities with the comfort of a large
cruiser. The Gagliotta Shipyards have deliberately chosen to remain a craft shipyard
and not a mass production one. This has allowed for a meticulous control over the quality
of the fiberglass, the systems, and the wooden details.
THE MODEL
The Gagliardo 37 from 2007 is a motorboat of the Sport Utility Fisherman or Open
Cruiser type.
It combines the classic elegance of Italian design with extraordinary sea-keeping, typical of the
tradition of the historic Neapolitan shipyard. It has an external layout characterized by a large
bow sunbathing area, a deep and protected cockpit, and a comfortable stern beach. The interior spaces offer a master cabin in the bow and a second cabin in the stern, a
convertible dinette with opposing sofas and table, a kitchen equipped with an
induction cooktop, and a bathroom with shower.
The strengths of this boat are a marine hull designed to safely handle rough seas, offering a smooth ride over the waves and excellent stability.
The Volvo Penta diesel engines ensure low consumption and excellent cruising speeds for the Mediterranean.
The construction quality is remarkable with solid fiberglass and simple but carefully treated internal woods, which withstand the test of time.
