New to the offer – this rare Linssen Classic Sturdy 28 Sedan from private ownership
This classic Linssen yacht was presented in 2013 as one of the first models of the new “New Classic Sturdy“ by Linssen Yachts. It was a new steel yacht series that was based on classic prototypes. The series made a splash in the market, with the compact TNCS 28 Sedan, the smallest model in the new range, impressing in tests with good handling characteristics and a cozy atmosphere.
“In developing the new yachts, we consciously oriented ourselves towards the classic, successful Linssen concepts,” the shipyard explained at the time. This referred to the St. Jozef Vletten built in the mid-seventies, from which the legendary Linssen Classic Sturdy was later developed and which still holds cult status among Linssen fans today.
The design of the Classic 28 Sedan also fits the color scheme: a dark green hull, a deck structure in slightly off-white, and various wooden accents. Notably – and no longer available at Linssen today – is the interior made of matte lacquered mahogany.
The equipment is very comfortable and versatile for a boat of this size. The bow cabin with double berth features two large wardrobes, a toilet, and a separate shower. In the salon, the bench comfortably accommodates 3 people at the table, with a stool provided for the 4th person. The galley offers everything the cook needs in daily life, with a sink, a 3-burner gas stove, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, and various storage options. The longitudinally adjustable bench at the helm also leaves nothing to be desired. The 28 Sedan performs convincingly while underway. Noteworthy are the good sound insulation and the problem-free straight-line travel. Maneuvering is also no problem – especially when, as here, a bow thruster and even a stern thruster are available.
The maximum speed of the New Classic 28 Sedan at just under 3000 RPM is about 13 km/h, with a cruising speed of about 2000 RPM and 10 km/h. Particularly impressive are the smooth running, stability, and the problem-free maneuverability for a classic configuration with a rigid shaft. Powered by a Volvo Penta D2-55 ZF 25-H diesel, the 28 Sedan runs pleasantly quietly and effortlessly in a straight line. An interesting look at the fuel gauge: with 240 liters of diesel, the boat has a theoretical range of 400 nautical miles – an astonishing figure.
The ship is in perfect condition, has completed just over 1,000 operating hours, and has always been privately owned. The current owner has invested significantly in 2024, adding a second plotter (Axiom9), active AIS, searchlight, radio, and even a washing machine on board. Two additional batteries ensure autonomy, and the underwater ship, anodes, inspection, etc. have been freshly done – the small 28 Sedan is ready to explore Europe with you...
