The design is attributed to the French naval architect François Camatte, born on May 29, 1893, in Cannes. Together with Eugène Cornu, Camatte is one of the great French designers of pleasure and racing yachts, particularly within the prestigious 8-meter class.
In recent years, the San Domenico has been restored with exceptional care and respect for its heritage. The original details have been preserved as much as possible and expertly restored where necessary. Not only does the warm and authentic interior reflect the rich history of the ship, but also on deck, characteristic elements such as the doghouse and the elegant butterfly hatches have been returned to their original state.
