Smart Scandinavian design The Nimbus Sport Weekender 42 is built according to Scandinavian design principles, entirely in the tradition of Nimbus, carefully designed to keep the boat comfortable and user-friendly. It features the award-winning Nimbus side deck, which opens up the interior and makes movement across the deck easy and safe. The layout of the interior and the multifunctional seating areas are specifically designed for social activities and entertainment. The multiple large seating areas are perfect for relaxing with friends or family, taking a dip, or sunbathing, both on the foredeck and the aft deck. The Nimbus Sport Weekender 42 also includes new features such as foldable side balconies for extra space and flexibility when the boat is anchored, and an optional hydraulic swim platform that extends behind the engines, allowing your guests on board to be closer to the water. The cockpit of the Nimbus Sport Weekender 42, similar to that of the Nimbus W9, offers superior protection with a large window and seating for three people. The standard open boat is equipped with a targa, but an optional large electric sunroof can also be added, similar to that of the Nimbus Sport Tender 42. Below deck, there is space for four people to comfortably overnight in two spacious sleeping cabins and a roomy bathroom with toilet and shower. On the water The Nimbus Sport Weekender 42 has the same air-lubricated, double-stepped hull as the Nimbus Sport Tender 42 and the Nimbus Sport Coupé 42, with a razor-sharp bow and a low planing threshold. It sails dry and stable and reaches speeds of over 45 knots. The boat is equipped with two Mercury Verado outboard engines, a V8 of 2 x 300 hp or a V10 of 2 x 425 hp, both with Mercury Joystick Piloting and an integrated bow thruster for easy maneuvering in tight spaces. Behind a large windshield, the helm accommodates three people and keeps the crew warm and protected when the wind picks up and the rain starts. The new, custom Nimbus helm seats are ergonomic, with side support for less fatigue during longer voyages. "The Nimbus Sport Weekender 42 is designed to expand your possibilities and take you where you want to go, with more space and more to do on board. Simplicity and ease of use were central to every decision, and the comfort that results from this is felt as soon as you step on board," says Joacim Gustavsson, chief designer at Nimbus. Lounge and spacious social areas The heart of the boat is the lounge, a large, multifunctional space that adapts to everything the weekend has to offer: cruising, sunbathing, swimming, entertaining guests, enjoying an elaborate lunch or dinner, or reading a quiet afternoon in the shade. The seating can be adjusted as needed, and there are sunbeds at the front and back to spend hours in the sun. A foldable side balcony on the starboard side opens the lounge above the water when the boat is anchored. When extended, the deck slopes down to sea level and doubles the social space; when folded, it aligns with the hull line. It is essential for a weekend at anchor. The new, extended swim platform, double-molded and structurally integrated with the hull, reaches out to the water, and an optional hydraulic platform for the outboard engines can be lowered to serve as a gangway when the boat is moored. The outdoor kitchen is located at the rear, close to the seating, so lunch can be enjoyed together while everyone is still present. The new seating area on the aft deck features side cushions that transform storage space into extra seating when the boat is full. The open boat comes with the new Targa T-top, shaped after the iconic Nimbus 32 Ballista, with an optional electric soft top for extra protection. The Nimbus Sport Weekender 42 is the successor to the well-known Nimbus W12/W11. GeneralCE: -10
