Beautifully, robustly built Kuster A42 designed by Mr. W. Nieland and subsequently constructed by Consonant Yachts in 2005, launched in 2006. This Kuster A42 was named "Boat of the Year 2007" in 2007. The yacht is equipped with a robust double stainless steel railing positioned at a comfortable height, ensuring a safe feeling on deck. The deck is surrounded by teak, both in the side decks and in the spacious cockpit. The cockpit also features a hydraulically lowering transom door, which is also fitted with teak paneling. The transom door allows for easy movement of bicycles or other items on and off the boat and also serves as a swim platform. The cockpit can be shaded during warmer summer days by the recent bimini (2023). On the cabin deck, a lowering mast is installed, along with solar panels and a Jabsco 60020 spotlight with remote control. From the spacious open cockpit, you can comfortably move to the ground-level fixed wheelhouse through the folding door. Once inside the fixed wheelhouse, the amount of natural light is immediately noticeable, guaranteed by the large Gebo double-glazed windows with aluminum frames. The interior woodwork is solid teak, and the cushions on board are upholstered in blue. On the port side against the bulkhead is the kitchen, equipped with an Isoterm refrigerator, a 4-burner induction cooktop, and an AEG combination microwave/oven; the Kuster also has a Candy washing machine on board. Forward is the comfortable helm station, equipped with Raymarine equipment, hydraulic steering, hydraulic proportional bow and stern thrusters, and the meters. On the starboard side is an elevated dinette. Throughout the fixed wheelhouse, careful consideration has been given to sea conditions with numerous handholds and railings; in addition to the Kabola central heating, the fixed wheelhouse is also equipped with underfloor heating. Via the comfortable staircase, you can easily move to the corridor where the guest cabin is located, which is separated from the corridor by its own lockable sliding door. The owner's cabin is located at the front of the yacht and offers plenty of storage space, standing height, and a double French bed. The wet cell is located on the port side, diagonally opposite the guest cabin, and can be accessed from the corridor as well as from the owner's cabin. The wet cell features a shower cubicle, a sink, an electric toilet, and storage space. In recent years, no expenses have been spared on the maintenance of the Kuster A42; in 2021, the yacht was professionally refurbished and completely repainted. In 2022, new service batteries and four new solar panels were installed, in 2021 a Raymarine Axiom navigation system was installed, the upholstery was completely redone in 2018, as well as a Neptune mattress for the owner's cabin, curtains and cushions were renewed in 2022, in 2020 a new propeller was installed, in 2020 the entire underwater hull was stripped and rebuilt with a 10-year warranty (provided inspection every 2 years), in 2022 a new 4-person liferaft was installed, the gray water pumps have been recently renewed, the navigation lights were renewed in 2021, the engine room was soundproof insulated in 2021, and in 2024 the yacht will be equipped with new wiring.
