This beautiful Valk Continental II 20.00 ALU-IPS – Stabilizers is offered by its second owner and has a special history. The first owner came from the machine construction industry and had extensive knowledge of steel, aluminum, and metalworking. From this background, he was very closely involved in the construction of the yacht. Together with Van der Valk, the ship was developed in detail, with him visiting the yard about forty times to implement various technical adjustments and improvements. The first owner deliberately waited for the construction until the yacht could be equipped with the then-new Volvo Penta D13-1050 IPS engines. While earlier versions were built with four engines, this yacht could be fitted with two powerful engines. This created space for two 16 kVA generators, among other things. In the spring of 2013, the yacht was launched in Waalwijk. Until 2024, it mainly sailed in Northern Europe, after which it departed for Southern Europe. This Valk Continental 2000 II ALU-IPS Fast Going is very well equipped and stands out, among other things, due to the impressive electrically operated roof above the wheelhouse and the salon. The salon and the wheelhouse flow completely level to the aft deck, with four stainless steel folding doors providing a particularly spacious and open connection between inside and outside. There is also a practical sliding flyscreen door present. The further equipment is particularly extensive, of which only a selection is mentioned here. Think, among other things, of air conditioning in all rooms, a sun deck on the foredeck, central vacuum system, oval stainless steel railing, Dynamic Positioning, Naiad stabilizers, heaters in the cockpit, a folding mast, three IPS control positions, Dockmate remote control, a fully custom-made tool and parts cabinet, en-suite bathrooms, and many other options and facilities. Both owners have maintained the yacht with great care, and significant investments have been made in modernization and technical upgrades in recent years. For example, it has a Victron lithium service battery bank, isolation transformers, a Victron inverter/charger system, Dockmate wireless control, and recently installed AIS. In addition, the stabilization system has been upgraded with Humphree Active Ride, and the upholstery of the salon was renewed in 2023. Technically, the ship has also been well maintained. In 2026, among other things, the Miele dishwasher, antifouling, and anodes were renewed, PropSpeed was applied, and in May, the most recent service was performed on the engines and IPS drives. The Miele dryer was renewed in 2024. The periodic maintenance has been carried out according to the prescribed maintenance schedules and extensively documented with invoices and maintenance reports. In short, a particularly complete and technically high-quality Valk Continental II 20.00, in which both owners have invested a lot. The water maker is not included.
