LONG ISLAND 78 POWER – PREMIUM CATAMARAN BY JFA YACHTS
The Long Island 78 Power is a high-end blue-water catamaran built by JFA Yachts, renowned for its elegance, efficiency and exceptional range. Designed by Marc Lombard, it features aluminium hulls and composite superstructures, offering strength, lightness and outstanding comfort at sea. Powered by twin 500 hp engines, it cruises at 12 knots and reaches a top speed of 18 knots.
The yacht is eligible for registration under both the French International Register (RIF) and the British commercial flag (UK/MCA – Red Ensign Group). The RIF provides a clear regulatory framework, strong international reputation and attractive social and fiscal conditions for charter operations. The British commercial flag offers worldwide recognition, highly demanding technical standards and strong market value for premium charter activities. Both regimes comply with IMO conventions, including SOLAS, MARPOL and STCW.
The main deck includes a spacious salon, dining area, fully equipped galley and navigation station. The port hull accommodates a large owner’s suite and one guest cabin, while the starboard hull offers three additional guest cabins. Outdoor spaces include a forward lounge with seawater jacuzzi, a generous aft cockpit and a well-appointed flybridge with enclosed wheelhouse. The interior, designed by Franck Darnet, blends light oak and darker woods for a warm, contemporary atmosphere.
Built by JFA Yachts, a French shipyard known for bespoke yachts and long-range exploration vessels, this model reflects the yard’s commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and reliability.

A ship designed according to RIF and MCA standards offers high guarantees of safety and reliability due to strict requirements for stability equipment construction and risk prevention. This dual framework also provides international recognition that enhances the trust of clients, partners, and insurers, and facilitates operations in many ports. In addition, the advantages of RIF include optimized operating conditions, adapted taxation, and simplified management, thus allowing for better competitiveness. While respecting particularly high technical and habitability standards, the ship ensures superior comfort for the crew and passengers, which improves well-being on board and the quality of service. Finally, this compliance enhances the ship's value in the market by facilitating inspections, maintenance, and resale, thanks to a design conceived from the outset to meet the most demanding standards.
This exceptional catamaran is offered exclusively as a central listing with Yachting Conseil France. It benefits from a sub-24-metre registration, providing easier access to anchorage in certain protected areas.
The vessel has been built to meet the MCA commercial standards, which correspond to British flag requirements—an additional guarantee of strength, quality, and reliability for either commercial or private use.
