The new range of Menorquin Yachts, previously featuring a protected closed cockpit, has expanded with models that have an open helm, highly sought after on our Mediterranean coasts and with a much sportier appearance. By adding the intrinsic quality of this prestigious shipyard, we anticipate great success for this type of semi-displacement vessel.
We were able to verify the quality of this new model at the Madrid Boat Show, held in April. Its hull is powerful, with nearly 4 meters of beam and 10 meters of length, featuring a vertical bow that will cut through the sea effortlessly. The transom area of the hull ends with a wide and practical bathing platform that covers the propellers of the engines, making it perfect for accessing the boat from the dock or from the sea.
The deck features numerous useful and open surfaces: a stern cockpit, a bow sunbathing area, anchoring zone, etc. The stern cockpit is excellent, with two well-defined spaces: the cockpit itself, spacious, elegant, open, and with two benches attached to its stern and a door leading to the bathing platform, and the helm area (unmatched visibility), located to starboard, with a large control panel, comfortable individual seat, and good protection thanks to an attractive windshield. Above this area, there is a roll bar that adds a sporty touch and on which the antennas, mast, and navigation lights are located. Next to the helm and on the port side, there is a sofa for 2-3 companions.
The passage to the bow is made via two very safe side walkways, as the height of the solid railings, made of non-slip material, and the width of the walkway are perfect. And we arrive at the bow area, which also deserves an outstanding rating: a gigantic sunbathing area over the cabin, completely flat and very comfortable, where more than 3 people can sunbathe to their liking, and a spacious anchoring maneuver area, with the typical configuration that Menorquin Yachts provides to its models.
Going down 4 steps, we access the main living area, well-ventilated and illuminated by 3 side hatches and the entrance itself. To starboard, we find a sofa that transforms into two berths, surrounded by cabinets and storage spaces. On the port side, there is an L-shaped sofa with a table and a complete kitchen. Towards the bow, there is access to the owner's cabin and a complete, spacious, and well-equipped bathroom.
This great boat, with 2 Volvo TAMD 41P engines of 200 Hp each, reaches top speeds of 20 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 16 knots.
In short, the first open model of Menorquin Yachts, with a sportier character, while maintaining the classic style of the shipyard. Both in this version and in the models with a cockpit, they are purchase options that any enthusiast should consider if they desire a vessel of great capacity, certain exclusivity, and unwavering safety.
