Originally christened Te Rauparaha, this remarkable vessel was built in New Zealand in 1938 for a wealthy family, who made it their prized private yacht. Requisitioned during the Second World War by the Royal New Zealand Navy under the pennant number Q07, she served dutifully as a patrol boat before returning to her original owners.
In 1979, she set course for New Caledonia — and with this new chapter came a new name: Samara. For several years she carried passengers to the Amédée Lighthouse, before embarking on a complete transformation under the close supervision of a marine expert.
A Total Refit, Uncompromising in Every Detail
The hull and deck were entirely rebuilt, laminated and epoxy-coated across all exterior surfaces. Electrical and plumbing systems were stripped out and replaced from scratch, a brand-new generator installed, and the engines fully reconditioned.
A Designer Interior, a Generous Exterior
On board, the loft-style layout surprises and seduces: a luxurious living space, custom-designed down to the finest detail. On deck, generous and wonderfully convivial spaces will delight even the most discerning guests.
Throughout the refit, one principle guided every decision: the finest materials, the highest quality. Nothing was left to chance.
Samara is a one-of-a-kind vessel — the kind you encounter only once in a lifetime. Her subtle blend of century-old history and refined modern elegance will leave no one indifferent.
