Well, where do I start with this wonderful little sports cruiser. She is an unusual and rare boat being a John Bennett designed Briscoe Marine 23. Laid down in 1979 and fitted out by the current owner over the following 12 years to an incredible standard and first launched in 1991, this is a unique and incredibly well fitted out and equipped little boat that has so much to offer and comes with a twin axle braked trailer giving incredible flexibility of cruising ground.
with just the one current owner from new she is again very rare and this fact should tell you that she has been loved and impeccably looked after in all that time. Her John Bennett hull is almost pristine and barely marked and in original polished gel coat. Her topsides are also in original gel. She has a very good condition Jeckells canopy that was new in 2023 and also has a full tonneau cover for when being trailered. She is powered by a ford 2.5 L turbo diesel engine that was new fitted in 2008. She has a full width swim platform. The cockpit upholstery is all in immaculate condition and well thought out. Their are side window and hatch covers too. The saloon is clean, dry, warm and cosy and has a dinette to port and will make a single berth. The forward twin cabin converts to a double when required. the heads and galley are to starboard and are both clean and well fitted out to a high standard. Diesel warm air heating, shore power, Victron battery charger, solar panel, mercathode system, hot water system, exhaust heat alert and warning, full gps navigation and instrumentation systems all combine to complete the picture of what is a stunning little boat. she has has new water and toilet pumps fitted in the last 12 months or so, 240v shore power with immersion heater and battery charging, New cockpit carpets, new fire extinguishers. The list of care and maintenance is just amazing, and confirms just how diligent this owner has been with his boat. Service just a few months ago she has been regularly used and the new engine has done around 400 hours or so. She was last antifouled in 2024.
Her boat safety certificate runs to October 2027 and her broads toll is paid to march 27. This would be a fantastic first boat for a couple who want well thought out and well equipped comfortable boat that has been lavished with care and attention all its life .
