We present a 2022 Excess 15, a modern and sophisticated sailing catamaran designed for demanding owners seeking to combine performance, comfort, and style in a single yacht. Designed by VPLP Design, with exterior styling by Patrick le Quément and interior design by Nauta Design, this multihull stands out for its contemporary aesthetics, refined ergonomics, and sporty sailing sensations—without compromising cruising comfort.

Sails and Handling

The generous sail plan with a modern profile delivers excellent sailing performance, with a highly favorable sail-area-to-displacement ratio for a catamaran of this size. Maneuvers are managed efficiently thanks to the twin aft helm stations, Dyneema steering cables, and an ergonomic layout specifically designed to enhance the helming experience and sailing sensations.

Concept and Use

The Excess 15 is conceived for sailors who seek comfortable and stable cruising without giving up a sporty feel under sail. Its philosophy breaks away from the traditional codes of classic cruising catamarans, offering a more dynamic character, elegant design, and well-thought-out functional solutions—ideal for long passages or extended stays on board.

The boat has the Registration Tax (IEDMT) paid in Spain.

This has the advantage that the buyer can use the boat for personal and commercial purposes in Spanish waters.
