Nauticat 42 "Nakatcha" - The Ultimate Long-Distance Cruiser

The Nauticat 42 is globally recognized as the "Rolls Royce" of deck salon (pilothouse) sailboats, built by the prestigious Siltala shipyard in Finland. This model offers a perfect synergy between robust sailing capabilities — proven by its history in the Blue Water Rally — and an unparalleled level of comfort on board. Thanks to its iconic wheelhouse design, you enjoy a panoramic view of 270 degrees from the luxurious salon, allowing for comfortable and sheltered navigation, even in the changing conditions of Northern Europe. Its high-quality solid teak finish and robust construction make it a timeless investment for sailors who demand safety and style.

This specific unit, "Nakatcha," benefits from a solid foundation thanks to a significant refit in 2017/2018. The most notable improvement is the installation of a powerful 110 HP Yanmar engine in 2018, which currently has only about 188 hours of operation. During the refit, the hull was proactively treated with a complete peel and a new Gelshield system, the six forward windows of the main cabin were replaced, and all interior woodwork was revarnished. Although part of the teak deck requires attention from the future owner, the vessel constitutes a sound and well-maintained technical base.

The interior is intelligently arranged with three cabins, including a spacious owner's cabin at the rear with a central double bed and an en-suite bathroom. The technical equipment is very comprehensive with a Raymarine navigation suite, sails from 2015, and recent service batteries (2021). The great advantage of this boat is that it can be prepared for long crossings with manageable efforts and investments. Whether you are exploring the coasts of Western Europe or dreaming of a transatlantic journey, this Nauticat 42 (VAT paid) is the ideal springboard for your next adventure.
