I bought this boat in the Mediterranean at the end of 2024, at the time of my retirement, through the company Antipode. My plan was to go with friends for 6 months or more to head towards the warm seas of the Caribbean, and more... Two crossings were therefore on the agenda. We brought the boat back to Brittany, and I took care to prepare and equip it for a year to set off safely. This Dufour 500 GL suited my plan well. It is a fast, stable, safe, and very seaworthy boat. We sometimes faced quite strong winds, but we never felt in danger. The crossings were made at a good average speed. It is also very pleasant to live on, comfortable, well-equipped, very bright inside, spacious, and full of storage. For anchoring, with its electric swim platform, its plancha, and its outdoor fridge, we had great times with friends or family. I loved this boat a lot, and I am selling it with a bit of sadness, but it no longer fits my new sailing plan, which will be more about coastal cruising along our shores.
