Produced in only 48 units between 1984 and 1990, the Centurion 47 is one of the most beautiful successes of the Wauquiez shipyard. Designed by Ed Dubois, it combines true performance potential with high-quality construction and timeless aesthetics. It has also entered the legend of cinema, alongside Jean-Paul Belmondo in "Itinéraire d'un enfant gâté" by Claude Lelouch.

On board, three independent cabins, two bathrooms, and beautiful wooden volumes offer remarkable comfort for offshore cruising with family or friends. It is a powerful and seaworthy boat that requires a crew who loves to sail.

A BOAT THAT HAS JUST BEEN COMPLETELY REFURBISHED

The current owner has engaged in July and August 2026 a complete work program, with preparation and checks carried out partly with a very experienced sailor. This level of refurbishment is rarely offered on the Centurion 47 available on the market.

Sails and rigging:

– New genoa 127% and mainsail with 3 reefs (2026, approximately €10,000)

– Complete check of the rigging and halyards, topping lift replaced

– Head sail on removable stay, 17 m² staysail on stay with dedicated track

– Classic spinnaker with sock and asymmetrical spinnaker

– Complete inventory of halyards, sheets, tackle, and blocks

Engine and energy:

– Complete engine overhaul: seawater cooling circuit cleaned and components replaced, water pump of the water-glycol circuit replaced

– Timing belt replaced, with a belt, a pulley, and a spare tensioner on board

– 6 new batteries (2 engine, 4 service)

– Powerful wind generator and shore charger

Hull and safety:

– Hull treatment and antifouling International (2026)

– Stuffing box replaced

– Replacement of the 6 main through-hulls and their valves

– New Plastimo liferaft

– Good condition life lines

Equipment:

– Powerful Autohelm autopilot

– Electric windlass, VHF, NKE sounder

– Large companionway cover in good condition

– New 50 m mooring line and several mooring lines in good condition

– Dinghy with Johnson 2-stroke outboard motor in good working order

– Optional: new Hypalon 3D Tender dinghy, never unpacked, with a rigid floor

Diesel tank:

The tank has been drained for treatment. Four inspection hatches have been made for the four compartments and remain to be installed.
