"Hindsight" (ex Polar Bear) is the joint creation of naval architect Philippe Briand and interior designer Andrew Winch, built as Winch's own personal yacht. The partnership pairs Briand's modern hull – which incorporates a hard chine for increased speed, stability, and interior volume – with Winch's superyacht-level interior styling, elegant lines, and timeless proportions.
The design combines beautiful hull lines with a powerful sailing rig, a comfortable cockpit, and a gorgeous interior. Hindsight carries all the gear needed for serious off-the-grid sailing and world cruising, and with twin helms, push-button sail controls, and electric furling throughout, she is easy to handle short-handed or as a couple.
Hindsight's interior features four staterooms plus forward crew's quarters, and a state-of-the-art galley conveniently located to port just aft of the main salon. She is powered by a Volvo D4 diesel producing 180 horsepower for a cruising speed of 9+ knots, backed by a 17.5 kW Onan generator that runs every system aboard.
Key Features:
Hindsight's interior is Andrew Winch's vision brought to life – a thoughtful five-stateroom layout with dedicated crew's quarters forward, leather upholstery throughout, and finish quality well above the norm for a production flagship. Wooden sinks in the heads, subtle leather trim, and richly varnished tables and trim (12 coats) set the interior apart.
Beginning all the way forward is the crew's quarters with bunk beds, a shower, and a head, accessed through a watertight door in the starboard guest stateroom. Moving aft, twin guest staterooms with queen-sized beds and private baths flank the companionway, followed by the galley to port and the main salon. Continuing aft past the galley is a day head and a versatile twin-bunk cabin with access to the engine room, before arriving at the full-beam owner's suite aft.
Interior Styling and Additional Features:
MAIN SALOON
The main salon is entered moving aft from the guest staterooms and features a large dining table with a U-shaped settee for six upholstered in comfortable leather, with a smaller settee across to port. All windows are fitted with pleated curtains operated by remote control, and a large wall-mounted TV sits on the aft bulkhead. Numerous lockers throughout the salon provide ample storage, with abundant natural light through hatches and hull ports.
MASTER STATEROOM
The master stateroom sits at the end of the galley walk-through aft. A large master berth with hanging lockers and drawer storage runs to port, while a comfortable settee with storage in surrounding drawers and lockers sits to starboard. A removable ladder on the port side gives the owner private access to the cockpit without passing through the main companionway, and a large smart TV is mounted on the bulkhead directly in front of the bed.
Master Head
The master head is located forward on the starboard side of the owner's stateroom, easily accessed from the berth, with the same spectacular finish level as the rest of the cabin.
GUEST CABIN (STARBOARD)
The starboard forward guest stateroom features a queen-sized berth and provides watertight door access to the crew's quarters forward.
GUEST CABIN (PORT)
The port forward guest stateroom mirrors its starboard sister with a queen-sized berth and a private ensuite bath.
DAY HEAD
A day head is located to port on the way from the galley to the master stateroom, convenient for guests and crew without passing through a private cabin.
CREW CABIN
The forward-most cabin houses the crew's quarters with bunk berths, a shower, and a head, accessed through a watertight door in the starboard guest stateroom.
The galley sits to port along the walk-through to the owner's stateroom and is built for serious cruising. Corian counters provide spacious, durable work surfaces, while a stove with oven, full refrigeration and freezer, double stainless-steel sinks, wine cooler, ice maker, and dishwasher cover every cooking need underway or at anchor.
ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS
A comprehensive Raymarine electronics package, updated in 2020, is repeated at both helms, the master cabin, and the cockpit consoles, backed by satellite communications for true offshore and off-the-grid capability.

From her fresh paint work and full teak decks to her spectacular cockpit, comfortable interior, and easy short-handed sailing ability, Hindsight belongs on any serious buyer's short list.
