Description: The Nauticat 44 is a classic Finnish-built heavy-displacement motorsailer designed by Kaj Gustafsson and produced by Siltala Yachts (later Nauticat Yachts Oy). Known for its robust construction, long-range cruising capabilities, and comfortable, traditional teak-lined interior, it is designed for safe offshore sailing in all weather conditions. She provides generous onboard space and a comfortable liveaboard layout. Her epoxy hull has recently been refreshed and has several coats of gelcoat, enhancing both protection and appearance while contributing to long-term durability. Propulsion comes from a dependable Ford Lehman 120hp diesel engine, delivering an approximate cruising speed of 8 knots while consuming around 5.5 litres of fuel per hour. A long keel combined with a 1.8-metre draught promotes steady tracking and reassuring stability, even when conditions become lively. Rigged as a Ketch, she offers balanced sail control and manageable handling in varied weather. The deck layout is practical and uncluttered, allowing easy movement forward and aft, with standing rigging and sails reported to be in excellent condition and ready for use. On deck, she is well equipped for secure anchoring and close-quarters manoeuvring, featuring a serviced anchor windlass, robust anchor chain, and a bow thruster for added control. Inside, the heart of the vessel is the bright wheelhouse, providing panoramic visibility and a welcoming social space. Accommodation includes two cabins and two heads, along with conveniences such as a gas water heater and an electric toilet. Careful ownership is evident throughout, with recent improvements to the electrical system including engine start and domestic batteries, LED lighting, and navigation equipment. The engine room is thoughtfully arranged for straightforward access and sound insulation. Comprehensive servicing and upgrades ensure the engine performs reliably, and the vessel fully prepared for immediate cruising. She has the additional covered rear wheelhouse with an all weather seating area. She is treated as VAT paid in the UK and is a fully live aboard vessel ready to move into with a mooring in the Royal Port of Ramsgate in Kent.
