Introducing Ocean Phoenix – A Proven Offshore Performer and Charter OpportunityOcean Phoenix, a 1996 Pendennis 77 designed by renowned naval architect Rob Humphreys, is the embodiment of offshore capability combined with superyacht luxury. Built by the prestigious Pendennis Shipyard in the UK, she was named Boat of the Year in 1997 and has since gained international recognition for her exceptional performance, craftsmanship, and elegant design.
Extensively refitted in 2011 and again in 2014, Ocean Phoenix has been meticulously maintained and remains in outstanding condition. Her robust Kevlar composite hull and powerful rig make her exceptionally seaworthy—a true world cruiser that has successfully circumnavigated the globe multiple times, hosted charter guests throughout her life, and competed in some of the world’s most prestigious regattas.
For the past 14 years, she has been in the care of a highly respected captain and marine engineer, deeply involved in the grand prix racing world and experienced in major refits and yacht construction. His operational discipline and attention to detail are evident in every system and surface.Accommodating seven guests and three crew across two distinct zones, Ocean Phoenix delivers the functionality and comfort of a superyacht. Her spacious salon, well-appointed galley, and cleverly configured cabins make her ideal for both private cruising and charter use. With features such as a hydraulic swim platform, tender garage, and extensive storage for toys and equipment, she is ready for global adventures.
Fully commercially compliant with a valid charter license, Ocean Phoenix is offered with an optional Panama-based holding corporation, enabling a seamless transfer of the ongoing charter operation. Whether you’re looking to expand an existing fleet or step into a turnkey charter business, this is a rare and valuable opportunity.Currently located in Panama with EU VAT paid, she is an ideal acquisition for a discerning yachtsman or investor seeking a proven, high-performance sailing yacht with an active revenue stream. Delivery and structured handover can be arranged globally, and the current captain and crew are available to remain onboard under a flexible rotational arrangement.
Upon stepping aboard Ocean Phoenix, one is immediately struck by her defining feature: a permanent wind enclosure that provides excellent protection and comfort around the main companionway and guest cockpit.
The guest cockpit features deep wraparound seating and a generous teak dining table for up to eight guests. Just forward, a double helm seat to port and a single helm seat to starboard serve as sheltered watch stations, with direct access to a secondary navigation console on deck.A centrally located mainsheet traveler clearly separates the guest cockpit from the working pit, delineating operational and leisure spaces. Aft, the crew cockpit features twin helm stations, primary and secondary winches, sail controls, and a wide companionway that leads to the crew area and navigation station. Just behind the helms, a dedicated control console integrates engine, rigging, and navigation systems—allowing for streamlined operations without interfering with helm or pit crew activities.A large hydraulic swim platform provides easy access to the sea and opens to a spacious tender garage—ideal for storing water toys, bicycles, and equipment for extended cruising. Additional access to this area is provided via a full-sized hatch in the crew mess, ensuring utility while underway. The wide, uncluttered foredeck offers storage for a large tender or additional cruising equipment, reinforcing Ocean Phoenix’s capacity for bluewater passagemaking.Crew AreaThe crew quarters are accessed via an independent midships companionway, just forward of the helms. Below deck to starboard is a spacious crew mess, and to port is a generously sized crew cabin with a double bed and an oversized head and shower—also suitable as a guest cabin if needed.A starboard-side corridor connects aft and forward areas, passing through a dedicated single-berth cabin and leading into the galley. The galley itself is exceptionally functional, with ample counter space, extensive cold storage, and a safe, ergonomic layout optimized for both offshore use and life at anchor. The engine room—accessible via the crew head—offers full standing height and a meticulously organized layout. Access to all systems is excellent, reflecting a thoughtful and professional approach to long-distance cruising.Aft of the crew mess and to starboard, a hatch provides interior access to the lazarette. This area includes a fourth crew berth and offers impressive storage capacity for provisions, tools, and spare parts.
Guest Interiors
The guest accommodations are centered around a warm and welcoming salon. Descending the main companionway, guests enter a spacious area featuring a U-shaped lounge and convertible dining table to port. To starboard, a large sliding door connects the galley and the salon—allowing for flexible use, from quiet separation to open-plan entertaining.
Forward of the salon are three double en-suite cabins. The port midships cabin features a double bed, generous countertop space, and hanging storage. Its en-suite head can also be accessed from the corridor, making it ideal for use as a day head.To starboard, this cabin serves as the master cabin—strategically positioned for optimal comfort during ocean passages. It features a queen-sized bed, a vanity and stool, and a private en-suite head and shower. At the forward end of the yacht is a full-beam VIP cabin with a double bed to starboard, a Pullman berth above, vanity and storage lockers to port, and a large en-suite head and shower forward—delivering comfort, privacy, and flexibility for guests or family. The finishes throughout the interior strike an ideal balance between luxury and practicality, with semi-gloss teak joinery, leather paneling, and satin white surfaces in wet areas and deckhead coamings.Ocean Phoenix is presented in immaculate condition—a reflection of her experienced and fastidious owner. Her operational readiness and exemplary maintenance record make her turn-key for global cruising or immediate charter use.
Ocean Phoenix was designed by sailors, for sailors. Her layout is intelligently arranged for long-term liveaboard use and extended ocean passagemaking, providing a rare combination of comfort, safety, and performance.
Natural light floods the interior via numerous deck hatches, hull windows, and prisms—creating a bright and airy ambiance throughout. The galley stands out for its size and function—well-equipped, spacious, and sensibly separated from the salon by a sliding door. It offers the choice of privacy or open connectivity depending on the moment. The engine room is another highlight: full standing height, clean, and logically organized for easy service and inspection. Access to the lazarette from the crew quarters further supports discrete crew movement and optimized operational flow.
Interior finishes are of high quality and marine-appropriate—combining teak, canvas, and leather paneling with satin-white wet surfaces to achieve a timeless look suited to ocean sailing.A second, night-rated generator is tucked discreetly in the lazarette, offering quiet, fuel-efficient operation sufficient to power onboard systems—including air conditioning—without disturbing guests at night.Ocean Phoenix has successfully operated as an owner-run charter yacht for over a decade.
With full commercial compliance, an established client base, and a proven income stream that covers operational costs and generates profit, she represents a rare opportunity. The current owner is prepared to transfer the Panama-based corporation and assist with operational continuity including delivering the yacht anywhere in the world—ensuring a smooth transition into a profitable and adventurous new chapter for her next owner.
