Lemsteraak Zonnewind is a fully equipped, ready-to-sail vessel. The Zonnewind is a beautiful family boat that can be sailed by a small crew. Designed by A. de Boer, the ship was launched at Van Rijnsoever in 1993. It is in very good condition and features modest yet functional wood carvings. There is minimal teak wood that requires maintenance. This ship regularly receives compliments.

With a length of 10.05 m and a beam of 3.85 m, the Zonnewind is a manageable vessel that maneuvers well under both sail and motor power, providing stability on the water. Ballast is achieved through a thickened flat plate. It boasts hydraulic steering, paired with the Evolution EV 400 autopilot system. The Raymarine Axiom 9 chart plotter, along with its connected autopilot, depth sounder, wind indicator, and speedometer at the helm, makes this ship suitable for a small (or solo) crew. The chart plotter is easily removable and mounted at the helm.

The sail wardrobe consists of a mainsail with sail number VB 208, jib, and staysail. At the deep cockpit, there are Lewmar winches for the staysail, jib, and backstays. The mainsail can be easily hoisted using the proven (de Groot Stavoren) single halyard system. The boat is further equipped with roller furling and lazy jacks.

This vessel offers surprisingly ample space. The light interior (sprayed white with teak wood) creates an airy feeling. With its flat construction, it provides over 190 cm of headroom under the full cabin roof. It features a classic functional layout with a spacious salon and galley to port and a navigation seating area and bench to starboard. The blue leather comfortable seating with a foldable table makes the salon an inviting living space. The cabin can be heated by the Webasto hot air heating system with thermostat control.

Hot and cold running water with a pressure pump is available for an outdoor shower (with provisions for an indoor shower), in the galley and wet cell. There are seven sleeping places, five of which are permanent across two cabins in the bow. The ship is equipped with a starter battery, two service batteries, and shore power connections.

The easily lowered mast with sprenkel system and collapsible masthead expands its cruising range. Therefore, Hollandsebrug, Stichtse brug, and Ketelbrug present no barriers for the Zonnewind.

Vader Jacob is an atmospheric family boat suitable for long journeys, even offshore.
